Somaiyeh Vedadi

Somaiyeh Vedadi is an educational technology PhD student in Department of Educational Sciences, Mathematics and Creative Multimedia, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). In 2016 she got Khazanah Nasional's Imagineering Institute Phd Scholarship. She holds a Bachelor (2002 – 2006) and master degree (2006 – 2008) in educational technology. She was the best student for the Bachelor’s in 2006. Education has always been an important aspect of her life. She worked as a Lecturer (2009-2011) in Islamic Azad University of Share Rey, Tehran – Iran and now she is a PhD fellow at Imagineering Institute, Iskandar, Johor Bharu, Malaysia. Her research interests are Augmented Reality, Multisensory Communication, and Human-Robot interaction in Education. She is currently working on The Effect of Augmented Reality on Vocabulary Acquisition and Perceived Motivation.
